You all know by now I was waiting for this very day. Last Saturday we were finally snowed in! Friday afternoon I was still skeptical about the coming of a storm that was supposed to bring us inches of snowfall, but we went ahead and stored up green vegetables, fruit and other things that were needed for this snowbound celebration. As we expected Marisa's ballet class was canceled, and Samuel's friend's birthday party was postponed. It was bittersweet for the kids. Around eight o'clock it finally started snowing, and by midnight the ground was completely covered in white. The next two days we stayed home and enjoyed snow. Here is the picture of our snow bears.

Snowbound 2010

Your bears are so neat! How did you get those ears on? Sooo cute. The snow storm was a really nice surprise. So glad the kids enjoyed it.

Hi Madai,
The snow wasn't sticky on Saturday, so we made the bears on Sunday. You just need to make two of those snow ball fight balls and place them on the head. It is important not to pack the snow tightly on the side you want to attach to the head. Or, you can make two loose snow balls and place them on the head and sculpt.
The snow day was great, but I bet it was hardly enough for you, New Jerseyans. :)

サンディエゴが雪に見舞われたら大変でしょうねぇ。I-5や15がすごいことになりそうです。でも、一日くらい雪で閉ざされるのも悪くないです。そう思えるのは、シェルターがあるからですが。
雪が降ると、全てがリセットされるような新鮮な気分になります。
