Marisa cracked an egg to make pancakes this morning, and here is what she got. A double yolked egg! I believe this egg came from my friend, Jan's farm. Sometimes young hens lay double yolked eggs due to their irregular laying cycles I learned. Ovulating too frequently perhaps? Furthermore, they do not hatch twin chicks. There is not enough space for twins to develop. Well, that's ok. Marisa's pancakes came out moist and delicious!
