Bayeux

This is our rooster, Bayeux whom I thought to be a hen until last week he started crowing.  :(  Yes, I was in denial... I admit.  He looks very much like a rooster, and you must wonder how in the world I mistook him for a girl.  Well, last fall I ordered two Welsummer hens from the hatchery for the purpose of getting chocolate brown eggs.  Unfortunately one of them, Beatrix, was kidnapped (by a hawk maybe) when they were still very young.  So Bayeux was my only hope to obtain chocolate brown eggs!!  Oh well....  after all he is a very gentle and handsome rooster.  :)

Wow- your farm is growing! I'm glad to see that God is blessing the vision. May He expand and multiply your territories for His glory...I don't particularly look forward to hanging out the "birds" to be honest, (you know my forbia-) but I've been praying to visit you guys sometime this year if the Lord's willing. :)

Chiko,

Oh, I know you don't like birds, but you will appreciate them when you taste our eggs. :) A cow and a sheep came to our farm this month, and surely you won't mind petting them. They are extremely friendly and not so timid since we hand raise them. Looking forward to seeing you.
